Background

Sofia grew up in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania where she majored in psychology and minored in fine arts. It was there that she first became interested in child language and brain development. Following graduation, Sofia worked at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia screening children ages zero to three for developmental delays at well visits under a CDC funded research grant. It was not long before Sofia knew that working hands on with parents and young children was her calling.

Personal life

Sofia enjoys sunshine, fresh air, good food, and running. In her free time, she might be found strolling through Van Vorst Park with her two daughters and French bulldog. When Sofia is not at home experimenting in the kitchen, she is often dining curb side with her husband on Jersey Avenue.
